To improve women and child health facilities, Central Government has came up with healthcare facilities such as LaQshya, MusQan, Surakshit Matritva Aashwasan (SUMAN), PM Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA) etc, extending health to rural and urban areas of India.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare is mainly focussing on healthcare of mother and the child. Over 25,000 ‘Delivery Points’ across the country have been strengthened in terms of infrastructure, equipment, and trained manpower for provision of comprehensive Reproductive-Maternal- Neonatal-Child and Adolescent Health services.
